Liverpool Comic Con Photo Post

Some pictures from last weekend's event, just a small number of the dozens of guests and happenings going on around the arena and conference centre or as its somewhat randomly named Liverpool Experience Campus which just sounds like a University though its actually an arena and conference centre. If you want to book for next time, due to be held in April 2027, tickets are already available from the website

If I had to offer any advice on going to these events, I'd say you need comfortable footwear as there is a lot of walking across a large site and you need to be willing to queue. Probably decide too whether you prefer getting photos with or autographs from the guests or you want to watch the panels, its quite tricky trying to do both.

(above) Even though I’ve never seen Dexter, the cast were entertaining talking about the show despite each of their characters being killed during the run. This is Julie Benz who was also in Buffy and Angel of course.

(below) Together on stage, these three well known figures from modern Doctor Who actually never worked together on the show. Thanks to a staggered entrance due to travel and autograph delays, Catherine Tate livened everything up by improvising and taking full advantage of the auditorium layout. She should really go out on tour again. Pearl Mackie and Christopher Eccleston did get a word in now and again to complete an entertaining panel. And Christopher did say he would return to the series without any qualifying conditions so you never know…

(below) Chatting mostly about the major franchises he's been in, Jude Law looked back on a career stretching back more than thirty five years with some interesting answers to even the more basic questions.

(above) Sean Pertwee who was here to celebrate the anniversary of Dog Soldiers amongst other things.

(below) Rick Hoffman who was the iconic Lewis Litt talked about Suits, the evolution of his character from comedic foil and fall guy to something more nuanced, what was really in the mud tank and how he was stopped from floating in it and also what he kept from the set. He definitely does share some of Lewis’s humour as on his arrival the thanked his co stars for turning up. He was the only cast member there!

(below) There were two Game of Thrones panels across the weekend, these photos are from the second one. Just don't ask me to remember all the character names!

(below)The Doctor and Clara reunited for a look back at their partnership on the show as well as other projects, notably Victoria and Peter’s recent musical endeavours.

(below) The legendary Christopher Lloyd who did indeed say "Great Scott!"

(below) Also coming Back to the Future, Leah Thomson.
